Glendon, I would like to know how you find out who owns the unit before the auction. Most of the legals or notices I’ve seen onlly tell that there is an auction. They list the facility time and date. I would like to find out how you find out what units are up for auction and who the owners aerate so I could do some research pre-auction. Thanks Again for your help and support, WILL

In some cases you can, when they put the whole name in the ad for the auction, which is rare. Other than that it is a lost cause!

Got the three book deal. Read them and applied some of the things you said to my Yard sale this weekend and I Swear I have never in all my years of having yard sales seen so many people come out on a Friday. I was blown away. But following your instructions things went great. Most money I have ever made at a yard sale. We sold so much that there was very little left on saturday to sale. Great investment on my part. Just wanted to say Thanks!

For now I need $3000 a month income. Could you honestly tell me how long it might take for me to achieve that goal from knowing nothing?
If I studied your books and working full time on this, is it possible to achieve my goal in a few months?
Thanks!

are these ebooks actual books that would be received by the mail? Or are they something to read online? Thanks and appreciate all of your insight.

12 Glendon Cameron May 16, 2011 at 11:23 am

They are actually PDF ebooks that will be emailed to you, to read at your leisure, thanks for checking out the site and ebooks!

13 Andrew May 23, 2011 at 5:24 pm

Glendon,

I have watched almost all your videos, and i am very interested in purchasing your books. I want to purchase the ebooks, but as you stated in your last comment, they are actually just PDF Files. I was just wondering what your opinion would be on this subject. Should I buy the paperback copies on amazon for about $20 more total, or should I buy the ebooks? And how much has your newer A-Z book (the 2011 copy) changed from the older one (the 2010 copy)?

14 Glendon Cameron May 23, 2011 at 5:43 pm

You have to make your own decision on format ( ebook vs. paperback) but the 2011 books has 75% more information and twice as many pages, the date is wrong, should be changed in a few days. It all depends on how well you study online or do your prefer a book. Everyone love the 2011 edition! Thanks for checking everything out!

15 Edward May 28, 2011 at 11:19 pm

Ok I just wanted to make sure about this. The copy of “Making Money A-Z with Self Storage Unit Auctions” in the ebook deal would be the 2011 Silver Edition or the original?

16 Glendon Cameron May 30, 2011 at 2:12 pm

MMAZ 2011 is in the 3 book ebook deal, thanks for asking!

17 Edward June 1, 2011 at 10:41 pm

I need a load crew because im 63 yrs old and i dont want hurt my back or any part of my body. Please let me know when your new book on how to set up and run a resale store becomes available i want to buy it as soon as possiable.Thanks.love your videos keep them coming sorry for long e-mail never sent one before.

19 Glendon Cameron June 6, 2011 at 8:00 am

Joseph,

Thanks for the email, you need to pay them by the hour whether you have one unit or more, check out he local rate for labor $6-10 per hour. Yes, you need to be on hand, when they load the unit. I suggest you also get another person, to help you watch them. There are two points they can take stuff when they are inside the unit or the truck ( if you have 24-27 footer) also make sure they load the truck right, sometimes people want to place heavy stuff on fragile stuff. ( Scratching my head on that one) Thanks for buying the books, I really appreciate it!

Hey Glendon! I am rapidly becoming one of your biggest fans!! I have watched most of your videos and just received your book, am about 2/3 through it. I took your advice and attended an auction, prepared to buy (just in case!) but really just going to observe and check it out. I chose a facility that advertised 29 units in hopes there would still be several available, relieving me the time it would take to call and check. There was a very large crowd, I’m guessing about 125-150 people. Some units had been paid for prior to the auction and a couple were paid for while the auction was in process, just as you have said. I took note of things I wouldn’t have even looked at had it not been for your information. It was interesting picking out the regulars and eavesdropping on people’s conversations. I thought of your “stinky” units as they opened one door and everyone standing close started waving their hands in front of their faces and stepping back. It was a smokers unit. I noticed how boxes were stacked, looking for how well the bottom boxes were holding up,writing on boxes and types of boxes. I found it very interesting how accurate you were about being able to “read” the lockers, even in a brief time, just from looking in. I did get a “feel” for a couple of them and would have bid had I been ready. I was more interested in watching and listening to others bid. Nothing went for less than $200, one I was very interested in went for $220. I was very surprised at how much the little 5X5 units went for. One went for over $500!! The crowd was really interesting. Lots of different kind of people. Most weren’t bidding. Just a few really got into the game, there were two couples that each won a unit, and then a few others that I had expected to be involved just by their demeanor, overheard conversations, and tools of the trade hanging off their pants. I plan to go observe again next Tuesday. I have my plan down. :) You have done a great job presenting your expertise to others. I really enjoyed my first auction experience thanks to your preparing me. I look forward to actually buying one here soon!! Glad to hear you took some vacation time. Well deserved…. :)

I dont do storage auctions as the money is not great enough for me to fully do it.
I o&o 2 stores and I am a big car auction addict. I make a ton off of this with much less work I think.
I enjoy your vids on youtube and I want to buy your book for a good read while I am at my store.
The car thing is a hobby and a passionate one at that and I dabble in storage auctions for the hell of it.
I furnished my living room from a divorce unit. (I have the divorce papers on my wall lol).
Made some good cash but its too labor intensive compared to time and $ for the car auctions I do.

Anyways keep up the good work I always love learning from other hustlers!
