Just finished your book here on the road. I can hardly wait to start implementing them once the wife and I quit our job, get back home and step our ebay business up. With the information I have acquired from your ebook alone; i am confident I will never have to work on somebody elses job again. I was doing OK selling a few automobiles. But now your book has supercharged my business plans. Never have I read a book on business that got so directly to the point of making money. Robert Kiyosaki and Trump talk business, but not this clear. I was truly blessed to have found such a clear business book as yours. Thanks again.

Glendon,
I am in my third week of being in the storage auction business and your webinar (class 2) was well worth the money! Everything went just like you said it would and my excel spreadsheet has proven to be priceless! Over the last three weeks I have spent over $3K and one unit made me $6K and counting! Thanks for the webinar and phone consultation!

This book is an easy read and I did it in 1 day. Having run a small online business for a few years now and just getting into the storage unit auction business ( I have attended regular for years ), this book outlines a lot of useful information that should be common sense but a lot of people (myself included) completely missed. If you follow this book or adapt some of the information in it you should be able to make a lot of money fast. It’s not easy, but it is fast! A must have for anyone who is thinking about getting into and would like to know more before getting started. Well worth the $40.
Glendon,
I ordered your book thru amazon, I should get it tomorrow. I have been watching your Youtube videos and find them very entertaining as well as informative. Listen, I have a full time job on the Waterfront in Newark New Jersey and I make real good money.100K + But I work strictly nights, leaving all my days open. This may be the first real tangible way to work part time (for Myself!) and offers the right blend of hard work and e-bay etc I have been looking for.
Thomas Edison once famously said, most people overlook opportunity because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. the one thing I never feared is working hard. This type of business will not be easy, and that’s the good part because it will scare away the weak hearted and the lazy.
Looking forward to the read and knowledge is power they say, thanks for putting it together for the common man like me. I will start off small time a grow and learn as I go.
You have a knack for motivational speaking by the way.
Sell that too!

I bought the ebook (cheaper) from Glendon’s website.
After watching several of his YouTube videos, he seemed like a good guy and a straight-shooter.
His book did not disappoint – his experience is valuable and worth the read.

He got a winning unit at a storage auction! Read on!
Dear Glendon whats the dilly yo
I finished it in about 2 days, its well outlined for starters and a good read. I’m an ebayer and a craigslist whore and i’m not gonna lie glendon, i’ve watched every1 of your youtube videos atleast once (over 100 right?). Like you said sometimes u pick up more the second time around on the videos i wasn’t sure on. I just put youtube on the background and continue surfing the web and just click on the next one. Most everything in the book i picked up on through the videos, still haven’t received the black edition but $40 is cheap for information and i don’t regret it. These emails and your responses are more valuable than most people recognize.
So I’m sure u get a kick out of seeing go getters doing some work.
2 weeks ago $385 turned into—–>1400 with inventory still left over.
Friday I made the big move. I registered my small business with Suffolk County and the IRS, (Small Proprietorship) You might like the name, Blow It Out Thrift Store. lol Got my business checking account, paypal, ebay all setup, I’m gonna put side rails on my pickup to stack higher to double the pickup capacity.
I have an appointment tommorow with a packing company for supplies, and then 2pm i have an appointment with the Small Business Association for free business couseling. Its all coming together, thanks to your videos of encouragement.
have a good day man
Folks love the the videos on Youtube

Hi Glendon,
Me and my fiance love your energy and videos. We have worked with President Obama as a community organizer and with Joel Osteen. You have a gift and I belive you would do great as a motivational speaker. We bought your book this Saturday and cant wait to see whats in store for us. If u could check at your convenice when the book may arrive it would be greatly appreciate. thanks Dave and Leann
The biggest lesson we learned is the cost of transporting large items. We rented a Uhaul truck and it cost us over $80 to travel two ways, including gas. Our total investment was $183 or so. I’m hoping we can get that back, which it looks like we might. I know we’re going to get $50 tomorrow from the peeps who want their wedding albums back.
Any advice on how to handle shipping? We’re going to stick with Craigslist, and see if we get any bites. Another strategy is to search Twitter feeds to see if there are any posts that are searching for particular items.

I see you popped your cherry! Bedroom Shit! That is funny, people with small kids typically do not have good stuff because they spend all of their money on the kids, if you see a lot Wal-Mart toys, coloring books RUN the unit more than likely will be a disappointment!
Collectible cards have never done anything for me, unless they were old, really old. You said a couple piece of furniture, what was the other item?
It is tax season and there are many people who need money are out there so in a word this is the perfect storm for crowds, should slack off in the spring.
This is the deal on trashed out units; if they are gotten cheap enough they always make money. When I first started that is all I bought until I got more money for the better (cleaner units) it is a lot of work, but if that is all that you are doing it works out well. The Conyers unit was a trashed out unit I got for $1 and made 62K there was a crowd, like 45-50 people.

$100 and it looks like a young couple with two small kids. Lots of throwaway items. It was a 10×10 with a couple of pieces of heavy furniture and a couple of boxes labeled “bedroom shit”. Everything was “something shit”…glow shit…more bedroom shit. This is how THEY labeled their stuff.
Dude, this stuff is TRIPPIN’!
The guy has a bunch of Red Wings cards in a binder. Not sure if they’re worth anything or not. We may be able to get $50 for the dresser. Looks like we lost money on this, though. Any ideas? There was drug paraphernalia and a small amount of kinky stuff, plus what looked like a lot of Mardi Gras type mementos. Pretty much worthless, I think.
We were amazed that we actually got this one, because there had to be at least 50 people at the auction for 8 units. After we won the bid, the losing dude came up to us at the next unit and asked us how much we were going to bid on it, “so we’re not wasting any time.” Turns out, we should have pushed that one a bit, because Dumpster Diving Dude (my nickname for this guy who buys the really crappy trashed out units) beat us both for $65 for a really trashed out 5×10. He gets those every time. He must be making SOMETHING because he’s always there.
Anyway, this was really fun…it was nice to get our feet wet, finally.
Thanks for all your help!

I started watching your videos a few months ago without any knowledge of these auctions even existing. I attended one auction and was amazed by the whole thing. After I establish my other business that I am getting off the floor I cant wait to delve into this… Thanks for making these videos!! Your a real great communicator and teacher.
Happy Holidays,
RonIt’s a quick come up if you’re not afraid of the work and take the time to hone your skills at spotting gems in the rough.
My favorite of your vids is the stinky unit. Loved it.
When I get rolling, I plan to take video of the auctions. I’m nostalgic, and the stories are gonna be a trip. Peace out Glendon, kudos on the book. Get back in to the game, you know the bidding itch needs a good scratching once in a while.JS
Man, you should be getting wayyy more views that you receive. I found your channel because I have been hitting some auctions in Riverside, CA. Its motivating to hear your stories. I will be watching whatever you put up. I checked your blog out to. You know what would be cool is if you would video some of your units upon your first inspection, it would be cool to see your natural reactions and you uncover the good and the bad. Look forward to whatever it is you have planned for the future. Thanks

Thanks for your Insight man, You seem like you know what you are doing, thanks for the ADVICE… thanks..

Went to my 1st auction…
Hey Glendon… Just got back from my first auction. Surprisingly it was almost exactly how you said it would be. Everyone there knew everyone… Everyone was looking at me up and down. However… There was only about 5 or 6 people there. There were 12 units and the most expensive unit sold for 180 bucks and was stacked with BRAND NEW furniture. Shit was still wrapped in the plastic. Living room set, dining room set, bedroom set, and a washer. Plus a few boxes.
I didn’t do any bidding, Just wanted to observe… And man… I was floored. I did observe that a few guys there loved to talk… Loved to brag about the units they had gotten the other day or whatever. And every one of them “hates” furniture. Except one guy… Old grumpy bastard old man… But it was a fun time. This week I will be buying your book and getting into this shit. I have about 3k to start with and wanna get in on the right foot.
You rock man, keep the videos coming! Oh, and thanks for the video reply to my last email.![]()

Just bought my first unit…
Hey man I got your ebook last night and read the whole thing. Good stuff… So I went to a few more auctions today and bought a small one. It was a closet sized one with about 8 boxes and a Marlboro duffle bag. I got it for 75 bucks.
Basically there were 3 guys there and all the units before were too big and I didn’t wanna deal with it yet. So this one was small enough for me. I saw a box filled with china and I figured that big ass set alone would get me atleast 75, so I was not bidding over 75. Once I got all the shit, it turns out this lady loved to collect those china plates. There was a ton of lennox and hummel shit in there and the china was crap. But I already got an offer for 50 bucks on the china set, so its all good. It literally took me 15 minutes to load and unload. After looking up the prices for the stuff online, I’m expecting to make about 245 bucks. Some of the plates are selling @ 30-50 dollars each.So yea, I told you I would keep you updated.
Thanks for the info that you’ve been dishing out. I really appreciate it. Hopefully I can have HALF the success you claim you’ve had with the storage unit auctions. lol
Oh and one more thing, there was this big ass bus there… like a 60 or 70’s era city bus converted to an RV. NO ONE BID ON IT! haha I coulda had it for 5 dollars, but I don’t have a clue as to how to move that type of shit yet. It was a beater, but damn… 5 bucks.
Hello Glendon,
Thanks for all of the help that the videos and book provided. We have been going about four months. In that time, we opened a business called “Garage Sale Maniacs”, and purchased a building on a contract that the merchandise is paying for. In addition, we reinvest some of the profit that returns as passive income. Some of the finds have been really good considering how short a time in the business. Two weeks ago I bought a unit with a Chrysler 440 stroker engine in it. Littlefield blower on it, racing cam, bored and stroked to 494 cu in., plus more. There were seven boxes of china and glassware and the engine in the unit. Not one scrap of paper, and all for $201! This may sound unbelievable, but we also got a unit in December with a running 65 Chevelle. I have the pictures to prove it! Thanks again,
Ray
Ray,
I am glad to hear things are going so well for you! This is really cool all of the folks who bought the eBook are building great business. Dude I would love to see a picture of the Chevelle that is cool as hell! Send the picture to glendon@urbanpackrat.com
Thanks Man!
